Terms and Conditions
These terms govern your use of ChargebackCheck. By using the site you agree to them. Please read the second section carefully, because it sets out the limits of what this service is.
1. What the service does
You describe a card payment dispute. We classify it into the Visa or Mastercard dispute type that best matches your description, calculate the filing deadlines that apply, and, if you ask for the full report, assess how strong your case looks, list the evidence you still need, explain how the merchant is likely to respond, and draft a letter you can send to your bank.
2. What the service is not
- It is not legal or financial advice. Using it creates no lawyer-client or advisory relationship. If the amount matters to you, take professional advice.
- We do not file anything for you. Only your bank can raise a chargeback. You take our output to your bank yourself.
- We cannot promise an outcome. Your bank and the card network decide, on evidence we never see, under rules that change. We do not offer, and you should distrust anyone who does offer, a percentage chance of winning.
- It covers network rules only. We apply the general Visa and Mastercard dispute rules. We do not apply your national consumer law, your card issuer's own goodwill policies, or regional rule variants.
3. Your responsibilities
The assessment can only be as good as what you tell us. You agree that the facts and dates you enter are accurate and your own, that you will not use the service to prepare a dispute you know to be dishonest, and that you will not abuse the service through automated scraping, resale, or attempts to overload it.
4. Price
The service is free. There is nothing to buy, no subscription, and we never ask for a card. We may have to limit how many reports one visitor can generate, because each one costs us money to produce.
5. Your report
The report and the draft letter are yours. Use them, edit them, and send them to your bank freely. You may not resell them or present the service as your own.
6. Availability
The service depends on third parties, including an AI provider, and is offered as is. We do not guarantee that it will be available without interruption or free of error.
7. Liability
To the extent the law allows, we accept no liability for any claim connected to the service, which is provided free of charge. We are not liable for a dispute your bank declines, for a deadline you miss, or for any indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and none of it affects your mandatory rights as a consumer.
8. Changes
We may update these terms. The version published here when you use the service is the one that applies, and the date above shows when it last changed.
